Description

We are looking for a Category Manager in the Atlanta, GA area with apassion for the Beer Industry. This position will work in a team environmentwith a focus on leading the team in developing insights, identifyingopportunities and communicating recommendations to lead future industry growthto our external retail customers and internal partners. Searching for an individual who takesownership of their work and always pushes themselves and others to reach higherand achieve more.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and drive strongengagement with direct reports supporting work streams centered around bothconsumer analytics and planogram space analytics/design

  • Build strong relationship with retailer as trusted Category advisor across all areas of the Beer business by proactively identifying opportunities and presenting actionable solutions

  • Effectively communicate, manage andprioritize workload for the team

  • Develop impactful category analyses andcustomize shopper insights using a range of syndicated and non-syndicated datasources and content from our Center of Excellence

  • Synthesize learnings from varioussources to create clear and impactful stories in a visually appealing manner

  • Develop category strategyrecommendations to drive growth based upon identified opportunities

  • Develop and utilize pricing tools toidentify market opportunities

  • Pro-actively identify and communicatemarket level opportunities utilizing standard weekly dashboarding

  • Provide space allocation and assortmentrecommendations

  • Analyze and recommend display andpromotional optimization opportunities

  • Effectively educate internal teammatesand external customers on growth opportunities through clear and impactfulcommunications

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong passion for the Beer industry

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, category management, computer science, information management, or similar field

  • Category Management and/or Sales experience in consumer packaged goods industry

  • Small Format/Convenience Channel experience preferred

  • Advanced proficiency in JDA space planning software

  • Advanced proficiency in data cleansing

  • Advanced proficiency utilizing Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access to manipulate and organize data

  • Advanced proficiency utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint to organize and visualize the story line for presentations

  • Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures (IRI, Nielsen, etc.)

  • Strong familiarity with shopper panel information data, software and measures (IRI, Nielsen, Numerator, Retailer Loyalty data, etc.)

  • Ability to understand information, develop insights and identify opportunities when analyzing large data sets

  • Ability to translate findings and recommendations into a concise and effective selling story

  • Ability to confidently present insights, opportunities and recommendations to internal or external stakeholders in a persuasive manner

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

PreferredQualifications:

  • Professional leadership and management experience

  • Master’s degree in business, computer science, information management, or similar field

  • Experience with dash boarding software such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, or Spotfire
