Job Description

  • Run routine analytical analyses on beer samples including: ph, ballings, alcohol, sodium, and iron.

  • Run routine analyses of packaged beer for oxygen, carbon dioxide, fill level, etc.

  • Routine testing of pasteurizers for proper pasteurization.

  • Conduct inspection and analysis of package integrity and specifications.

  • Coordinate quality analyses ensuring accurate results, timely completion, and proper responses and notification.

  • Other routine laboratory testing, as needed.

  • Full benefits, pension eligible and 401(K) eligible

  • Unionized workforce – must stay in good standing on Union Dues

  • 2020 Average Gross Compensation (base, OT, bonus, vacation, sick, holiday, etc) - $104,000

  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday; Midnights 11:00PM to 7:00AM, Days 7:00AM to 3PM, or Afternoons 3PM to 11:00PM; daily, weekend & holiday overtime may be offered. Scheduling is based on Union seniority so you will most likely start on Midnight shift.


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-intensive discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, etc.) Ability to operate laboratory instruments and perform basic instrument maintenance.

  • Knowledge of basic laboratory safety, sanitation, procedures and techniques.

  • Strong technical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation.

  • Must be flexible to work varying shifts during this week. Some weekends and holidays may be required.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • Understanding of the brewing and packaging process, HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices for food manufacturing a plus.

  • Further training on how to preform job tasks will be provided when you start with us!
