SALARY: $200,000 - $249,000
LOCATION: Position based at the company office in New York, NY. Position includes a telecommuting benefit within commuting distance of this office.

ROLE SUMMARY:
Anheuser-Busch, LLC seeks a full-time Principal Scientist, Applied Research based in New York, NY. Responsible for building competitive differentiated solutions that transform our business, continuously optimize our processes; improve profitability; and save costs across different parts of our company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work at the intersection of methods in the realm of statistical and econometric modeling and/or Machine or Deep Learning techniques, using deep business expertise to tackle real problems. Review ongoing academic research in this area and work on applying them to your work.
Build data science solutions that meet a certain threshold of difficulty to solve business problems, such as assortment optimization, price and promo optimization, forecasting, demand planning, supply and logistics, experimentation, omni-channel analytics. Document thought process and craft artefacts to share with business for approval.
Build code that builds reproducible results and is written as per team’s design practices. Review methodology and code developed by peers.
Collaborate with others to advance the team’s ability to build quality solutions and adapt quickly. Communicate and present your results to the business in a clear, concise manner that drives decision making.
Design and implement solution models for defined projects. Conduct research on algorithms to improve performance of models. Own end-to-end solution to business modeling problems. Understand requirements; design and implement solution; track solution performance; present insights to stakeholders; and drive adoption. Anticipate future business modeling needs.
Fully own all Data Science aspects of data product development, integration, adoption, management, and related stakeholder interactions including Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Product, and Business stakeholders, and C-suite executives. Function as Technical Lead across multiple data products. Provide analytical and technical leadership for multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data scientists, and data engineers.
Lead development and implement new emerging analytics technologies and identify technology based business opportunities. Lead development and execution of comprehensive data science roadmap that supports business goals and strategies.
Stays apprised of industry releases and academic research. Externally advance analytics brand via open-source contributions and conferences.
Build network and grow influence, value, and adoption of Data Science with internal stakeholders.
Supervise approximately 3 to 5 data scientists. Mentor junior data scientists and invest in upskilling other data scientists.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements
This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Physics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Statistics, or related field.
3 years related experience which must also include 36 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Using open-source programming languages for large scale data analysis to optimize business planning and results; 2) Developing models using machine learning techniques for business forecasting; 3) Working with and leveraging relational databases to manage volume performance, data quality, integration, and reporting; and 4) Using data analytics, visualization, statistical programming, and data mining for problem-solving.
Must also have experience with each of the following: 5) Managing and mentoring subordinate analysts; 6) Domain knowledge and experience in the U.S. Beer Industry in at least 3 of the following areas: Revenue Management, Finance, Logistics, or Business Intelligence; and 7) Presenting and communicating to the C-Suite or equivalent of a multinational organization.
All experience may have been gained concurrently. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master’s program.
