Kombrewcha East Coast Key Account Manager
The East Coast Key Account Manager will be responsible for but not limited to; Acquiring and fostering relationships with off premise chain buyers / Anheuser-Bush key account managers and wholesaler key account managers to drive brand growth through increased distribution and promotional activity at retailers within the company’s focus channels of trade. The Key Account Manager must be critically aware of industry best practices, regional/national competition, and hard kombucha / FMB / better for you strategies. The KAM must deliver the annual chain plan specific to designated territory while managing resources to budget.
This position reports to the National Key Account Director
What You’ll Do
Direct lead account responsibility in identified key account universe for Kombrewcha team.
Coordinates with Key Account Director to develop distribution and promotion strategy.
Develops tactics to close identified distribution and volume opportunities
Provide total account management; create and sell-in corporate programs
Build working relationships with focus wholesaler KAMs and Anheuser-Busch KAMS for the purpose of communicating, executing, and bringing more focus to Kombrewcha brand growth.
Collaborate with Field Sales team to ensure In-store standards & programming execution.
Utilizes data to analyze performance in key accounts and identify opportunities for growth.
Understand buyer needs and sells in a consultative fashion
Self-motivated, outside of the box thinker with a proactive approach.
Effective communication, presentation, follow-up, administrative, and organizational skills.
High level of expertise in analyzing information and making informative/solution-based recommendations that promote brand and category development.
Intermediate level proficiency in office-related software required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, iDig VIP)
Thorough knowledge of industry best practices
Some familiarity with understanding and utilizing syndicated data (IRI) is a must.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives
Minimum 5 years CPG Beverage Sales experience (Adult beverage preferred)
Minimum 2 years in a key account role calling on regional and or national chain buyers is a must
25-30 % overnight travel expected depending on the needs of business
Experience calling on and/or current relationship with 1 or more of the adult beverage buyers at the following chains is strongly preferred; Hannaford, Total Wine & More (corp), Kroger (corp), Market Basket, Giant, Publix, Target (corp or east region), Trader Joes, Weis Market, Wegmans, 7-Eleven (corp), Shaws, Price Chopper
Working relationship with Anheuser-Busch KAMs or Wholesaler partners preferred
