Sales:
Of course our sales organization includes our field reps (who sell our leading brands into retail accounts, bars and restaurants across the country) but that barely scratches the surface. Opportunities include roles in forecasting, trade marketing, business and wholesaler development, pricing and promotion analysis and key account management; it’s the strategic side of how we sell our beer. Sales are the backbone of our company—we work hard to get our product in the hands of every one of our target consumers… of legal drinking age of course.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading and motivating the Sales organization to deliver volume, share, profit and productivity targets within the Pacific Northwest sales structure. This position works directly beneath the PAC NW General Manager, leading all aspects of five Sales Directors between the Oregon and Seattle territories.
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve company sales targets.
Understand the market dynamics and industry-specific trends and landscapes to bring new insights and solutions to grow sustainable business results.
Lead, empower and mobilize the sales force around distribution, execution, and implementation of the sales strategy.
Be the liaison between national sales and regional execution.
Responsible for hiring, developing, and coaching an effective sales management team to meet the organizational needs of the business. Must develop a culture grounded in accountability, teamwork, and delivering results.
Own and accountable for the P&L to ensure delivery of share and financial performance.
Responsible for market unit business development as it pertains to channel, market & brand priorities for investment & focus.
Build strong business relationships with key customers and ensure a link between company objectives and customer objectives.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications:
Mandatory University Degree in Business or related field
Minimum 5-10 years of general sales, marketing and distribution experience in a fast-paced, high performance consumer packaged goods environment is recommended
Ability to understand and develop strategic direction and ability to develop plans to drive results
Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and engage people to build a high performance sales team
Strong influencing and communication skills – both internal and external
Strong Customer Management relationship skills
Knowledge of Commercial and Sales strategy, Distribution and Supply
Market knowledge is required
Knowledge of ABC laws & regulations and marketing & advertising guidelines for promotions
Knowledge of key consumer product drivers: distribution, merchandising, promotion, pricing, category management
