SALARY : $50.800 - $60,325, bonus eligible

ROLE SUMMARY:
Acquire over-the-road (common carrier) transportation capacity daily to ensure timely execution of shipment plan by carrier partners, while adhering to routing guide and driving least cost solution. Track movement of finished goods and provide reports to internal and external customers as required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage fleet execution for 2-3 breweries to ensure maximum use of fixed assets and attainment of backhaul revenue goals.
Improve use of award carriers to minimize transportation cost. Work with carriers to smooth shipment plan to ensure best use of carrier capacity.
Monitor carrier performance to include, but not limited to; award acceptance percentage, on-time pickup, on-time delivery, trailer pool compliance, ETA accuracy, freight claims, etc. Address poor performance directly with carrier to improve brewery operations and wholesaler service.
Develop and improve carrier & brewery relationships by providing excellent customer service and communicating in a professional & solutions-oriented manner. Efforts should lead to increased capacity and service performance.
Work effectively as a team member within the Logistics execution team. Actively participate in a positive manner to execute, support, monitor, and achieve Logistics KPIs and goals.
Main Accountabilities or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Cost Metrics: Actual transportation cost vs. budget; Over-the-road rate per mile
Brewery & Wholesaler Service Metrics: On-Time Pickup, Trailer Age, Trailer Pool Compliance, Direct Loading, On-Time Delivery
Execution Metrics: Percentage of Loads Moved by Award Carriers; Compliance to Tendering Process
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent communications skills (telephone and email) are essential
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Operations
Prior business or internship experience, particularly in a transportation or supply chain role
Strong teamwork & problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, changing environment
Strong organization and attention to detail, with excellent follow-up skills
