The function and role
Logistics:
Our logistics team leads a network of breweries, warehouses, and distribution centers like a boss to get what we need, where and when we need it. Some call them wizards of transportation, others, aces of demand planning. We call them vital to our cause. What good is brewing the best beers in the world if they never make it into your hand?
Responsibilities
Applies solid understanding of ABI’s logistics capabilities and processes and network architecture methods to isolate and resolve supply process/ system issues
Identifies ways to systematically improve the accuracy of operational needs to set short- and long-term goals for production, capacity, and distribution
Demonstrates broad understanding of VPO/ DPO (management systems) tools and systems, monitoring process efficiency to find opportunities to improve logistic operations (full supply chain)
Support continuous improvement projects to drive process standardization and efficiency improvement
Reviews and owns key performance indicators, finds opportunities to improve performance and executes implementation of said improvement
Models demand and supply efficiency scenarios to ensure the preparedness and flexibility of the supply chain
Works cross functionally to ensure inputs to planning model accuracy
Ensures inventory policies/safety stocks are in place and maintained to achieve extraordinary service level
Optimizes the network volume allocation to minimize costs while delivering extraordinary service level
Focuses on better world initiatives through minimizing miles traveled to deliver network plan
Job Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similar studies
2-5 years Logistics planning experience
Lean Six Sigma Experience
Detailed knowledge of logistics and inventory management.
Sophisticated mathematical and analytical skills
Sophisticated technical skills: comfortable with big data sets and their manipulation/interpretation, excel proficiency
Additional applicable technical skills: SQL or R coding, data visualization (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.), ERP, data modeling
Experience with statistical analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
